It’s Wednesday and here’s an interlude between Christmas letters— we’re participating again in Five Favorites hosted by Hallie Lord over at Moxie Wife!!
For this week’s favorites we have:
1.

Marriage: 10 Things that have made all the difference.
Loved this awesome list of ideas! My favorite is the idea of having a shared journal that you take turns hiding from each other.
2.

This book I borrowed from the library and it is one of the few library books I have decided needs to stay in my permanent collection. This book is the best parenting book I have read thus far. (Minus the chapter that bashes SAHMs) If I hit the lotto anytime soon, this is the book that I would buy for everyone I know who has kids, had kids, or will be having kids. The book reveals the secrets behind France’s well-behaved children… spoiler! It has to do with the Montessori tradition…..
3.

Cornbread Waffles! Served with Chili on top. A delightful Pinterest discovery. Even better was when we made the waffles with pulled pork and sauerkraut on top. Heaven!
4.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee! If you need a 10 minute laugh, check out these shorts on YouTube. Host Jerry Seinfeld picks up different celebrities for a candid cup of coffee and chat. Our personal favorite was Ricky Gervais!
5.

This poem by Mother Teresa is the #1 item on my Christmas list! I can’t read it enough… “You see in the the final analysis it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”
Oooo, I want to read Bringing up Bebe! The fad of “French people do things better” is a little obnoxious, but from what I’ve heard this book is really common sense about parenting. Definitely the opposite of American parenting, amiright?
You will love it! It’s so good. I did have moments of eye-rolling at their haughtiness, but overall it was an awesome read. Very different from American parenting indeed. Favorite part: “Le pause” how the French as a standard get their babies sleeping through the night by 2-4mos. Amazed.
Oooohhhhhh/ lots to look at & read!!!! Ty Xoxo PS- love bebé!!!! (Minus sahm & sending preschoolers on overnight field trips 🙂
