Review :Come Rack, Come Rope

Author: Msgr. Robert Hugh Benson

The Gist: Boy & Girl fall in love, but hearts are torn between love for one another and higher calling to serve the Church. Takes place during the persecution of Catholics in England.

What I liked: Hands down the most romantic novel I’ve ever read because it delved into a deeper, more passionate love. A true love of sacrifice and dying to our own desires. An incredible tale of courage and glory. This book makes you proud to be Catholic.

What I didn’t like: Sometimes it was hard to follow the location of everything. I imagine it would be tons easier if one were familiar with England.
