Review: Persuasion

Author: Jane Austen

The Gist: Classic tale of the girl in love with the dashing young man from a distance. Filled with perplexing twists and surprises, and of course a happy and relieving ending.

What I liked: I found Persuasion less typical than the rest of Austen’s novels. I enjoyed the twists and the tension that revolved around our Anne and Captain Frederick. Anne’s selfless spirit was moving and the book made it impossible not to feel her emotions to the fullest.

What I didn’t like: nothing!
