Review: The Wedding

Author: Nicholas Sparks

The Gist: My favorite Sparks novel, about a couple married 30 years and the rediscovery of how to woo each other. The husband realizes after years of over-working and letting his family slip aside, that the love of his life is aching to be pursued. He sets out on a mission to win his wife’s heart back with such passion, its hard not to shed a tear.

What I liked: The surprise ending, and the way the book felt so real. It didn’t seem like fiction.

What I didn’t like: One scene of love which Sparks tends to litter throughout his novels, although it was not much, the book can certainly stand on its own without it.
