What a find! I have to thank my Mom for picking this one up for me. This book is a compilation of Home Ec books from the 1940’s & 1950’s. It’s chock full of fantastic food for thought and delicate tips from everything like how to sew a button to how to prepare a “sick tray” (you do know of course, that utensil placement is key!) Initially I figured I’d skim through it for helpful hints here and there, but I can’t put it down and am going cover to cover. Home Economics should still be taught! There are so many practical pieces of info in this book, I can’t even begin to quote them all. My favorite point thus far is that a woman should run her home as efficiently as she would a business, everything must have a place, a routine, and a budget! I love it. I read that chapter and I was sold.
