five favortiesThese are the top 5 Mommy blogs that I read, and therefore would like to have lunch with as soon as we’re resettled in New York. (Hi all you linked up Mommy bloggers in the area, send me a date in 2015 and lets get lunch!!)

Ellen Johnson from McSisters! A dear friend, first college roomie, fellow bookworm, and blogging diva. She and her 3 sisters chronicle tales of motherhood and wifery with such elegance and ease... I can't think of a cozier blog!

Hallie Lord from Moxie Wife and host of Five Favorites! I love her style, I love her pieces on marriage and I am jealous that she's already enjoying the start of spring!

Melissa Clayton from Faith in All Times! Founder of a blog dedicated to Catholic women dealing with infertility. She has created a haven for women to share stories of their crosses and thus find the joy and love that comes from bearing them.

Kelly Manotan from This Ain't the Lyceum! Because nobody has made me laugh out loud like she did after her spoof post as a cover girl for her own magazine. Also, because her smear campaign during the Sheenazing awards was pretty much the most hysterical thing I've ever read. First virtual best- friend-I've-never-met... ever. (I know this because she wears adult footie pajamas, too!)

Katie from Wellness Mama! She's my number one source for all things healthy. I really can't say enough about her blog. She's intelligent, practical and has five little ones. A far fetch for a a lunch date since she's got like 221,111 followers... but hey, one can wish!

Petro-Carb Salve by J.R. Watkins. My mother in law gave this to me a few years ago, and now I can't be without it. Talk about a miracle salve! You have scars, a cut, or anything on your face just put this on there and not even a shadow of it is left behind. It's like a disappearing potion for your unwanted blemishes.

Coconut Oil. I keep a tiny dish of this on the bathroom counter to remove my eye makeup with. Did you know it's anti-aging?

Carrot Night Creme. Almost every time I put this under my eyes at night, I feel so good about my face in the morning, I go makeup-less. It's got Vitamin A and E in it, which helps repair skin!

Pray together as a family more. Carve out a special time to snuggle on the couch together, and let each kid choose a prayer to say. Then read from the Bible and send kids off to bed with a blessing.

Cook an authentic Little House on the Prairie dinner. Yep, you read right! Not only are we going to visit the dugout on Plum Creek, the Surveyor's house on Silver Lake, Walnut Grove and the house in the Big Woods but we're going to cook up some fried salt pork and sourdough biscuits. We may even top it off with some Maple syrup candy, too! We're in the Laura Ingalls heartland out here, so we kind of owe it to her!

No screen time after 7pm. For those of you, like us, who struggle with getting a good night's rest turns out screens could be the culprit. In an effort to stay healthy this winter and truly get some good rest, we're going screen free (phones, computers, tv) on Mondays thru Thursdays after 7pm. Click above to read why.

Getting a Himalayan Salt lamp. Because not only are blue & white lights disruptive to your hormone balance and overall health, but these puppies work as air purifiers as well. Also, for you crunchier folk, they supposedly de-ionize the air and get rid of all those free radicals floating around from computers and microwaves. Read more about why you should ditch night lights and opt for one of these instead at Wellness Mama.. by clicking here http://wellnessmama.com/13010/kids-dont-night-light/
